Year 7 Catch-Up Funding 2014-2015
The DfE provides additional funding to schools for each year 7 student who has not achieved a level 4 in Reading and/or Mathematics at Key Stage 2.
The school received £4,000 during 2014-2015 for Year 7 Catch-Up Funding. There were 8 Year 7 students. Additional age-appropriate reading books were purchased and used with Year 7 students. Students were targeted within reading and received 1:1 tuition. A maths assessment and curriculum resource tool/program was purchased to baseline the students and renew resources in line with the new curriculum. New IT hardware (iPads) were purchased and targeted within lessons. Within English, 6 (75%) students met or exceeded their aspirational target which is set against progressional guidance. 2 (25%) students achieved 1 sublevel below their target. Within Maths, 5 (63%) students met or exceeded their aspirational target which is set against progressional guidance. 3 (34%) students achieved 1 sublevel below their target.
