Buhoma Community School, Uganda
The pupils and staff at Wightwick Hall School, and Friends of Wightwick Hall, sponsor four children at Buhoma Community School in Bwindi, Uganda.
Their names are Brian, Annah, Doreen and Clarence. It costs £70.00 per year for one student to attend school. This provides them with a school uniform, dinners and medical insurance.
Year 14 of the Sixth Form produced a welcome booklet as part of their Employability Level 2 award. A copy of the book found its way to Buhoma Community School when Joy Howell went to visit in 2013. Everyone was very interested to see what our school was like. The school was so impressed with our booklet that they are going to produce one of their own and send it to us.
Pupils at Wightwick Hall write letters to the children at Buhoma, telling them about themselves and what school life is like here.
